The mission of MINE, ME, & US Montessori School is to provide a nurturing and authentic Montessori learning environment for children, wherein they are encouraged and supported to do the important lifework of becoming a fully developed, whole person who is mindful of individual, environmental, community, and global responsibilities.
From MINE (Montessori Infant Nido Environment), to ME (Montessori Elementary), to US (the forthcoming Upper School), MINE, ME, & US Montessori School offers authentic Montessori education with a focus on the natural world and the wonders of food for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years. Our school is growing and we will be expanding our program to include children through age 15.

Nido Environment
Maria Montessori described the infant environment as “Nido” (nee-doe), the Italian word for “nest.” At MINE, ME, and US Montessori School, the Nido Environment is home-like, with lovely, natural wooden and cloth materials, child-sized wooden furniture, clean surfaces, organic cotton sheets and blankets, soft, soothing music, and magnificent plants, so children feel safe, cared for, loved, and challenged.

Toddler Community
The Toddler Community is spacious to encourage freedom of movement. Beautiful Montessori materials developed to entice the sense of innate wonder in children while meeting their developmental needs in the areas of movement, language, and independence fill each classroom. Montessori teachers carefully observe the children and choose classroom materials to encourage their developmental progress based on Montessori training.

The Children’s House classroom and materials are designed, by Dr. Maria Montessori, and arranged to support each child’s ability to work independently, have confidence in their capabilities, and honor their right to exploration and discovery. The Children’s House Montessori teacher guides rather than instructs; allowing each child the space to facilitate their learning experience and acquire knowledge through individual work.
Lower Montessori Elementary (6-9 years)
Lower Montessori Elementary provides the elementary child with authentic all-day, year-round Montessori education and supports each child’s development according to individual potential and innate love of learning. Rich with explorations in the natural environment, impressionistic lessons discovering the disciplines and the universe, opportunities for social exploration and growth.
Upper Montessori Elementary (9-12 years)
In Upper Montessori Elementary, students continue to grow their sense of connection to the world around them as well as their independence in exploring research individually chosen topics and summarize their findings through timelines and/or reports. Similarly, students often make and test conjectures based on their mathematics and observations of the world. The main academic goal is to help students learn how to become independent learners.
Culinary Curriculum
MINE, ME, & US Montessori School provides organic, vegetarian, and locally-sourced meals and snacks. Meals are a community and social experience, an opportunity for learning about nutrition and, health, and most importantly, an extraordinary culinary experience. Our menu includes a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, beans, legumes, herbs, and spices.
